Windows Live® Search Results Pobedy Peak, mountain, eastern Kyrgyzstan. Pobedy Peak is located in the Kokshaal-Too Mountains of the Tian Mountains and lies on the border with China. It is the highest point in the Tian Mountains, with an elevation of 7,439 m (24,406 ft). It is also known as Victory Peak, in commemoration of victory in World War II, and is one of the most northerly mountains in the world. It is known to the Chinese as Sheng-li Feng. Due to its height, Pobedy Peak is covered in ice and snow year-round and sustains a number of glaciers, the most spectacular of these being the large Zyozdocka Glacier. Numerous rapids flow down the mountain’s slopes. Pobedy Peak was identified in 1943 and first climbed in 1956.
