Tsing Ma Bridge and Chek Lap Kok Airport
This aerial view shows the Tsing Ma suspension bridge and the Chek Lap Kok airport in Hong Kong S. A. R. Tsing Ma carries road and rail traffic, and is the longest structure of its kind in the world: its main span reaches 1,377 m (4,518 ft). The Hong Kong International Airport at Chek Lap Kok, situated off Lantau Island, was designed by the British architect Norman Foster. Opened in 1998, it continues to expand and will have the overall ultimate capacity of handling 87 million passengers per year.
