O. Henry

O. Henry was the pseudonym used by American writer William Sydney Porter. He is known for his witty short stories, which often have a surprise ending. One of his most famous works is The Gift of the Magi (1906), which tells of a husband and wife’s Christmas sacrifices for each other.
