| The Reichstag in Berlin, Germany, was built in the late 19th century and housed the parliaments of Prussia and of the German Weimar Republic. The building was destroyed once by fire in 1933 and again by bombing during World War II. After German reunification in 1990, the building was renovated to accommodate the lower house of the German parliament, which moved there in 1999. | ||||||
